Looking for a fast and easy Father’s Day gift for the NEW dad or dad-to-be?
Father’s Day is just a few days away! Do you need ideas that are quick and easy to give to the new dad in your home? One word: PERSONALIZATION
The most precious gifts I treasure from my girls are their homemade gifts. It does not have to be perfect or expensive because when I look at it, it makes me smile. I have kept tons of colored pictures and drawings and my husband still has drawings in his office from years past.
One of my favorite Mother’s Day gifts was a book of coupons made from my youngest. It had ALL kinds of things she knew that I loved. Coupons were redeemable for: foot massage, back massage, 10 minutes of back “scratchies,” 10 extra hugs and kisses, breakfast in bed, 10 minutes of SILENCE (I have daughters and they can talk my ear off), my choice for a bed time book, putting her laundry away, dinner and a movie with her (dad and sissy were not allowed) and her top 10 reasons why she loved me. It was so sweet and thoughtful.
Another memorable gift was a piece of card stock with my name spelled out. She used one word that described me from each letter. It was on my favorite color paper with her flower drawings all over it.

5 easy gifts for DADS and DADS-To-BE
Set up your own photo shoot. Use dad’s clothing (shirts, tie, shoes, hats, etc). Does DAD like a certain sport? Team? Bowling? Fishing? Hockey? Star Wars? Use props you have at home and be creative. Upload and customize it at Walgreens.com and pick it up the same day (at certain stores).
Hand and/or Footprints. You can get some paint and customize shirts, glasses, mugs, canvas, frames, ETC. Grab one of his shoes, dip it in paint, place it on paper and then use a different color paint and put baby/child’s foot in it with the words “Following in daddy’s footsteps”. Try using hand prints and say, “I always feel safe in your arms.” Two little feet touching at the heels in a V shape make a cute heart. Write your own or print out a meaningful poem and put hand or footprints on it.
Buy a set of Dad and Me books for dad to read to baby. “Just Me and My Dad” “Daddy and Me” “My Dad Loves Me” or “Hero Dad”
His favorite coffee with a personalized note apologizing for ALL the nights baby kept him up.
