First holidays with your baby-Part 3

First holidays
First holidays

The holiday season is here and you want to capture as many memories as possible with your little one.  They won’t remember this first, but you will!

  • Go through your own baby pictures to see what kind of fun things you did, recreate them if possible with your little one.
  • Go visit Santa, if your child is afraid, sit on Santa’s lap with them.
  • Watch your favorite Christmas movies and listen and sing to your favorite carols together.
  • Build a snowman and place your baby next to it holding a carrot! If you are not near snow, go find a place that does a snow fall and enjoy it without the frostbite.
  • Buy a stocking and place them in it under the tree.
  • Make molds or trace their little hands and feet.  Give them as Christmas ornaments.
  • Be your own live nativity scene at a church.
  • Make a home video about their FIRST Christmas.
  • Create your own 12 Days of Christmas song with pictures and captions – 12 wet and dirty diapers, 11 quirky smiles, 10 steps taken, 9 foods tasted…5 hours of straight sleep…2 eyes gazing at the sparkling lights.
  • Bundle up and take a walk around your neighborhood to see the lights and decorations.
  • Wear matching pajamas.
  • Buy or make a personalized ornament to mark the FIRST CHRISTMAS.
  • Start your own holiday traditions and add to them yearly.
  • Buy props and stage photos.
  • Document, celebrate and capture this magical time. Next year they will be a year older and it will be completely different for both of you!

Enjoy your baby’s first Holiday season!
